Some people think of painting as a window on the world. These paintings are windows on the wall. I'm playing with the relationship of canvas to plexi, thus the small build canvas sitting on the top edge. Not much more today - it's a holiday. Happy Independence y'all!
Could that be a little bit of ketchup and mustard seeping out between the two small canvases? –an homage to the traditional 4th of July cookout?

Cecelia -- I always love your funny insights!In fact, the first build painting i did was a small stack and a friend said it looked like a Big Mac. Echo, I wasn't sure about the nail, but thanks for your comment, it helps. I think I like the nakedness of it, too.
