Head Shoulders Genes & Toes Genes and Toes

The show I've organized for the FSU Museum of Fine Art, Head Shoulders Genes & Toes opens this friday. As of tonight, 8:30PM, the museum is still in a state of chaos, but I can see it coming together. I'm very happy to have included some gorgeous and compelling works by artists Brian Knep, Suzanne Anker, Heidi Kumao, Richard Heip, Robert Sherer, Carolyn Henne, Holly Hanessian, Jordan Vinyard, Paddy Hartley, Hunter Cole, Adam Zaretsky, Joe Davis, Beverly Fishman, Erik Geschke, and Perrin Ireland.

why swallowawindchime?

One day in the spring of 2011 I went to my website only to find it had disappeared. You've heard it before: my domain name had expired and before I could renew it a cybersquatter snatched it up and offered it back for a price. Steam shooting from my ears, I began surfing forums for answers. Finally, I turned to the great nullifier, facebook. That's when I saw those four words that said it all: swallow a wind chime! I thought, yeah, swallow a fucking wind chime, cybersquatter! But the story isn't negative. Turns out swallowing a small wind chime can really spice up your love life, and that's why it became my new domain name.
